Freezer Repair
Defrost circuit, evaporator and door-seal work on Sub-Zero freezer drawers and full-height columns.
What we get called for
- Ice cream has gone soft but everything else still looks frozen
- A sheet of frost keeps rebuilding on the back wall after every clean-out
- The drawer needs a shove to close and frosts around the gasket
- Freezer alarm chimes overnight and clears itself by morning
On a panelled column freezer, a seal or a hinge is the first suspect for frost at the door. The model catalogue sorts each series by how its door and panel hang, with notes on the faults that start there.
How the visit runs
-
Door, then temperatures
The seal is tested with a paper strip and the hinge and panel are looked at first. Then each compartment is logged, and airflow and the defrost circuit are tested. Gauges go on only when the readings point inside.
-
The fault, and one price
We name what failed and give a single figure for parts and labour, with our view on whether the repair is worth it. No part is ordered and no panel comes off until you say yes.
-
Fixed, then shown
After the repair the temperatures are read again in front of you, and any door work gets a second strip test. Panels are rehung at their old reveal.
